2010 Christmas Boutique!

Christmas boutique is here! This weekend saturday AND sunday November 13 and 14. Saturday from 10-3pm. (this will be during our women's brunch on saturday at Calvary Chapel La Habra)

So my latest: I've been pretty busy (haven't posted in a long time) with home, church and homeschool...but for this boutique I wanted to show my new clutches. I have some new sizes and new colors.

Jewelry - Repurposed and New!

I wanted to post just a few (what I had left) of the jewelry that I made. Most of the items are repurposed and new. I haven't added them to my etsy yet, but I will soon. I made a crochet/chain/yo-yo floral necklace that I thought was awesome... ahhhh no picture because it was literally the first thing I sold at the boutique. I will be making more jewelry pieces and hope to be able to post soon.

the Boutique was a hit!

The perfect craft room

This picture inspires me to one day have a whole room all to myself to craft in. Wow! Everything in it warms my heart and kinda makes me drool. Right now my craft room is being shared with my nursery, which is just waiting for a future baby girl (well, I'd be happy with a boy or girl). Although it is a spare room and I have a spot to craft, I can still dream right?!

Flowers make me smile. Fresh flowers die, but when they do, I dry them to keep them longer. I love it when I see my dried flowers they all remind me of the special time I recieved them.

My crochet work has been mostly flowers. Can you blame me? I made one style of crochet ring last boutique as it was a hit, so this time I'm making them bling and pop. I'm also working on mini rosettes for a headband (small and subtle).

Purple people :D

For those of you who know me, you know that I don't wear, nor truly like, the color purple. I've succumbed to the many request for purple. Although purple seems like a very pretty color, used by royalty, written about in the bible, my eye has never been drawn to it. Maybe one day purple... maybe one day. Many of my lovely friends wear the color and it looks amazing on them, so this ones for you...

(Maybe it's my dislike of purple things, like eggplant, Barney...um eggplant. Yuck. I'll get over it one day.)

Doors, secrets, light oh my...

The day is finally done. All the drawing, the planning, the painting, hammering, nailing....the seminar was amazing. Everyone did so much work and prepared for this day with many hours of hard labor and much prayer. I really do pray and hope that all the young girls went away with a lot, but mostly that Jesus saves us and forgive us of our sins and washes us pure as snow. Wow. Nothing better then that!

Thought I'd share a little picture of me finally done at the photobooth and my super cute tee. Makes me miss designing clothes...on second thought, I love staying home with my babies!

I need to post some pictures of the cool doors that we put on stage and the final tee-shirt which was in teal. I had mine printed on a white burn-out tee.

Red, I think I like you...

So I just finished a red flower for a friend. I don't usually wear red, but I like how this one came out. Hope you like it Stephanie ;)

I'll be gearing up for the upcoming boutique...so much work to do!

Secret places...

Tomorrow is our girls seminar at church called "secret places". I had the scripture given to me for months. It took me a while to "feel" it and hear from God what it was I needed to draw. Sounds cliché, but that's how I honestly get inspired. It's just the way it is...and I wouldn't have it any other way. So I wanted to share what finally transpired from this, secret places theme. The scripture was from Luke... You'll see...

To some minor changes and then finally done!








I am super picky and could have changed so many things, but in the end, I found that the true meaning of the scripture came through. As much as we surround ourselves with "pretty" things or make ourselves look "invisible", we can not shut the for and hide our secrets from the Lord. He will bring them into the light. But by His grace we are saved and made white as snow!!

Here is a picture of the photobooth I set up for the girls to take buddy shots! Do you see the meaning in this?! Striped shirt, white underneath, windows and mirrors and the lights?! I hope so.

Boutique!!

Just a heads up that April 24-25 cclh will be having another boutique. I'll post more info and maybe the flyer. I have been making lots of crochet flower headbands...yay!
